On Wednesday 25th November 2015, P & O Cruises will rock Sydney Harbour with a five ship spectacular.

This history making, musical extravaganza will feature some of Australia’s best known musical artists performing onboard P&O cruise ships moored in and around Sydney Harbour. Headline acts include Jessica Mauboy, The Veronicas, Samantha Jade, Justice Crew and Stan Walker. The event will run from mid-afternoon into the evening. Over 20 musical live acts and 10 DJs will play across the five ships.

The P&O parade will mark the arrival of the cruiseline’s two latest ships, Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden, which will be officially named as they sail by Sydney’s Fort Denison together after arriving in the Harbour. The cruise line will announce details of the ceremony and the ships’ godmothers at a later date. After their early morning arrival, the five ships will take up their positions for the afternoon of entertainment with Pacific Jewel located at Athol Bay, Pacific Dawn off Garden Island, Pacific Pearl at Point Piper, Pacific Aria berthed at the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Pacific Eden set to be anchored at Neutral Bay after spending the day at White Bay.

Harbour Exclusion Zones

When planning your day on the Harbour for Australia Day you should be aware of changed harbour conditions to ensure your day is hassle-free. There will be a 30 minute harbour closure and special exclusion zones throughout the day.

• The water between the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge will be closed to all traffic from 11:45am till 12:15pm for the Salute to Australia.
• A 50 metre exclusion zone applies around ferries competing in the Ferrython and tall ships competing in the Tall Ship Race.
• A 30 metre exclusion zone applies around the three P&O Cruise ships moored in the harbour and the HMAS CANBERRA, all boats are to stay well clear when the HMAS CANBERRA is underway.
• Farm Cove will be closed to vessels for the Great Australian Swim Series Final from 8.30-10.30am
• Cockle Bay (Darling Harbour) will be closed to private craft from 10am until 11.30pm, and closed to all craft from 5pm.
